Designed by Golf Design Services, the Barrhead Golf Course is situated on rolling, wooded terrain along the Paddle River. Proximity to Edmonton and nearby camping has made this beautiful course very popular with tourists. City residents enjoy the course too and many come for its challenging level of play and its friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Barrhead's contoured fairways are attractively framed by mature stands of trees. They have been designed in such a way that no two look or play the same.

The 4th is a tight driving par four that requires precision shot making. The presence of a creek cutting across the fairway restricts driving distance off the tee on this 405 yard hole. This sets up a long approach over the creek to a large, but very well guarded, green.

Another good hole is the 6th with its excellent views of the Paddle River. Players start this 384 yard par four from an elevated tee and must place their shots to a narrow landing area bordered by tall large spruce on
