There are golf courses which are not forgotten easily and where the layout linger in the memory for years. Adamstal is one of them. In the clearing of a secluded, deep wooded valley below the Unterberg, Adamstal is considered as one of the most beautiful courses and runner up at Best Golf Courses in Austria of the Year 2000/2001/2002 ranking of the leading Magazine the Golf Revue. Franz Wittmann, a former rally driver was the founder of the club. The first nine holes had been built in 1994, followed by the second nine, in 1998. For the design responsible is the Irish architect Jeff Howes.
