Extra info
Set along the shores of The Wash and from where, taking a straight line north, the next stop would be the Artic Circle, Hunstanton provides links golf at its very best with greens that are the envy of every self-respecting club in the land.
For all the many fine courses that can be found in East Anglia, where the light soil is ideal for golf, Hunstanton outranks them all. This is reflected in the substantial number of men’s and women’s championships that have been held here while once, in 1967, it was honoured by a professional tournament – the PGA Close Championship, won by Malcolm Gregson.
