Extra info
Beeston Fields Golf Club lies four miles west of Nottingham, just off the the A52. It is a mature and well laid out parkland course, with many fine features. It's trees and natural contours add to both the beauty and difficulty of the course.
In December 1923 the course was officially opened with an exhibition match played between leading players of that time, Arthur Havers-the Open Champion, Ted Ray, James Ockenden and Tom Williamson the course architect.
Beeston Fields has always been closely involved with the Nottingham Union of Golf Clubs. Fredrick Mitchell was President in 1952 followed by Edward Broughton in 1961 the clubs current owner John Mitchell in 1977/78 and Mike Mumby in 1995.
