The Freiburger Golfclub e.V. was founded in 1970 as a 9-hole-course and was extended 1983 to 18 holes. It is located about 7 km east of Freiburg near Kirchzarten in the valley of the Dreisam. The course is completely flat but offers the player a terrific view onto the hills of the southern Black Forest. Many big old trees give the course on many parts the character of a parkland course. Numerous natural ditches crossing the fairways demand the players tactical skill. The course is a challenge for golfers of all playingabilities.
