Between Wiesbaden, Hesse's state capital, and Frankfort, the regional metropolis, the Main Taunus Golf Club is an excellent and traditional facility at the heart of the Frankfurt-Rhein-Main region. Although in a densely populated area, the club enjoys a lovely setting amidst woods and meadows in a natural bird preserve. The club takes its names from the Main river, at its confluence here with the Rhine, and the Taunus mountains, a wooded range north of the valley.
