Kassel Wilhelmshohe Golf Club enjoys a beautiful location in the midst of the Habischtswaldes forest on the edge of Bad Wilhelmshohe, Kassel's spa district. Founded in 1958, the club has a scenic course laid out on the fringe of the city's famous Bergpark, boasting over one hundred species of different trees and Europe 's largest mountain park. Its fairways unwind between dense woods on a hilly terrain, many of them with the picturesque backdrop of the hilltop Hercules Monument, Kassel's landmark towering about Wilhelmshohe Bergpark and the city.
Kassel Wilhelmshohe is traditional walking course and private club, although visitors are welcomed with an official club licence and handicap certificate. The Club is ideally located in a secluded wooded setting yet minutes away from Bad Wilhemshohe, Kassel's spa district, and the city centre, famous for its modern art exhibition "Documenta", considered to be the largest of its kind in the world and held every five years. Plenty of accommodation is available downtown or in the spa district, where guests will enjoy easy access to the Kurhessen Therme spa, Spielbank casino, Kurpark and Kurklinik.
