Extra info
The Golf Club La Cuesta started its official activity in march 1989 with the first championship named Villa de Llanes. Today we have 1400 members. We have to thank the founders of our Club: The Council of Llanes, the Spanish Golf Federation and the Asturian Federation.
Today we are the third public golf course in Spain; the first nine holes were designed by Mr. Antonio Mijares, Mr. F. Patiño and restyled by Mr. J.M. Canfran. The designer of the remaining 9 holes, May 2nd of 1998 was Mr. Manuel Piñero.
Golf Club La Cuesta is located on a plateau 100 metres above sea level, just between the Picos de Europa and Cantabrian Sea, so the panoramic views and the scenery on we are playing are spectacular. It’s very similar to a Scottish link course.
Among the attractions in the area, are its 30 beaches and several routes to go over the Picos de Europa and its prehistoric caves. Also, activities such as canoeing, fishing, gastronomy and tours to Covadonga, Los Lagos, Cabrales, and the Picos
