TEMPLER PARK COUNTRY CLUB is designed by the famous Japanese Professional Golfer Jumbo Ozaki in association with Kentaro Sato a well known golf course architect.
Set up in 1990 and open for play the same year, TEMPLER PARK COUNTRY CLUB have since hosted all major amateur tournaments in the country.
In 1995 TEMPLER PARK COUNTRY CLUB was given the privilege to host its first major professional tournament i.e. The Benson & Hedges Malaysian Open.
Following the success of this tournament, TEMPLER PARK COUNTRY CLUB was given the opportunity to host the tournament again in 1996.
TEMPLER PARK COUNTRY CLUB was selected to host The Benson & Hedges Malaysian Open 2000 from February10th -13th 2000. This tournament was jointly sanctioned by the PGA European Tour and the PGA Asian Tour.
Among the star players who played in this tournament were Bernhard Langer, Retief Goosen, Padraig Harrington and Andrew Coltart.
TEMPLER PARK COUNTRY CLUB is ideally located in the Templer Park recreational park area which is just a 15 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur city.
Set a midst the recreation park and the golf course is the famous limestone hill called 'Bukit Takun.' The golf course is also surrounded on one side with virgin forest.
TEMPLER PARK COUNTRY CLUB is a very scenic and challenging golf course with many holes featuring long carry across the lakes.
