Extra info
The hills that nestle below the large and lengthy Brandwacht Mountain provide interesting terrain for the Worcester golf course, described as 'Karoo Bush' because the fairways follow the contours around these hills and have been carved through Karoo Bush scrubland. This low, wiry bush now lines most fairways. As it is an undulating course, you will have some magnificent views of the area, its mountains and the town of Worcester.
Gary Player designed the course and that will give you some idea of its high standard. Some golfers (hookers and slicers in particular) describe the course as harsh, an adequate description, for if you happen to stray off the more than adequately wide fairways, you will find yourself in bush and rock and will be penalised. On the other hand, if you stay on the undulating fairways, you are assured of a really good golfing experience.
