Extra info
This course opened in 1994 and its proximity to the sea and the resulting off-and on-shore breezes have added to the challenge on the course.
The course has, in the interim years, continuously matured with a caring committee and membership constantly striving to add value to an already excellent challenge. The prominent features of the course are the abundant water and bunker hazards and the excellent and often undulating greens.
Indeed since its inception the golf course has gained a deserved reputation for the standards of the putting surfaces, especially as the Bent Grass used on these greens often suffers when so near to the sea.
The commitment to improvement is reflected in the maturing of the two-and-a-half thousand trees that have been introduced on the course. This was necessary as, though many of the holes were tree-lined to begin with, a large portion of the course was wide open and with the wind factor a regular challenge, added protection from the elements enhances the experience and the visual beauty of the course.
