Designed by Karl Litten the course has been deemed challenging but fair. Situated just 20 minutes drive from Bahrain's capital city Manama, the Club opened it's doors to the public, almost 5 years ago. Floodlighting was installed in June 2002 on the back 9 holes of this 18 hole international standard grass golf course and this has increased the playable hours of golf from sunlight through to midnight each day. In addition, existing floodlighting on the driving range was enhanced as part of the project. Managed by Gleneagles of Scotland, on eof the world's leading golf resorts, the course has been making it's mark on the regional golf scene. Serveral prestigious tournaments have taken place at the course and the Club's management have been highly proactive in marketing it's wonderful facility to overseas tourism and incentive markets. Stands have been taken at trade shows in Florida, Portugal, Helsinki, Berlin, Geneva, London, Sun City, Biarritz and Dominican Republic, as well as at Ar
