Extra info
Knysna Golf Club was founded 1909 and only moved to its present location in 1953. The course started as a 9 hole course and was made an 18 hole course in 1960. The course had bayview greens and very few bunkers until 1994 when over a period of two years 19 new crenshaw bent grass greens were built and designed by Phillip Basson.
Nestled on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon, the golf course meanders along tidal pools and magnificient indigenous trees. An interesting layout which has been enhanced over the past few years, with some of the finest bent grass greens in the Southern Cape. A course that is challenging to players of all levels, the scenic Knysna Golf Club is not to be missed whilst touring the area.
Come play a round and enjoy the hospitality of our Clubhouse with the bar and halfway house overlooking the 18th green. Enjoy a drink while watching the beautiful Knysna Loeries which nest on the course and admire the splendid sunset after a rewarding golfing experience
