Description: About an hour's drive and a 10-minute ferry ride from Stockholm on the southern Swedish archipelago lies the small limestone island of Oaxen, home to only 100 residents and this restaurant. Open for six months, from the end of April to the end of September, when Swedish skies are brightest and the weather is warmest, and for the month of the Christmas season, the dining room and terrace overlook the bay of HimmerfjŠrden. Run by the husband/wife, Chef/Front of House team of Magnus and Agnetha Ek, the restaurant offers new Nordic cuisine (see Noma). Typical dishes include Seared Scallops, Water Chestnut Mash and Pecorino
