Description: The French Ciel Bleu Restaurant on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura Amsterdam recently opened its doors again, after large-scale renovations. Well-known architect Bert Verweij has created a restaurant where every place offers a breathtaking view of Amsterdam. As a result of the renovation and the use of plenty of glass and various shades of brown, the Ciel Bleu Restaurant has acquired a more luxurious, warm and modern atmosphere. This atmosphere matches the preparation and presentation of the dishes by Star chef Onno Kokmeijer’s unique take on French Cuisine. The unique take on tradition that informs our cuisine is also evident in the wine list. In addition to a selection of choice classics from major wine regions, sommelier Noël Vanwittenbergh has come up with a wide range of innovative wines, especially from up-and-coming wine estates in the New World. The restaurant has three exceptional venues for closed private or business functions – the Starlight Room, the Salon Panoramique and the Chef’s Table.
